From the other side of the border, depending on the time, if still daylight, you will take the Vietnamese bikes and ride to your hotel in Dien Bien Phu. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5. Dien Bien Phu – Lai Chau. 205 km.

Start riding on a scenic route until Muong Lay where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon, take a beautiful scenic route that lead us to a small town named Sin Ho located on the attitude of 1600m from the sea level. Ride all the way down hill to Lai Chau Town where we stay overnight.

 Day 6. Lai Chau – Sapa. 100km.

Today we head straight towards the main Fansipan Mountain range. The massive mountain range dominates the road until finally we must make a splendid climb up from Binh Lu and up to the top of the highest road pass in Vietnam (Tram Ton Pass). Crossing into Lao Cai Province at over 2000m from the sea level, the views looks out over the main range for miles and miles, before we descend to the mountainous Sapa valley. Dinner in town, overnight at hotel.

Day 7. Sapa. Relaxing or riding around to discover the area of Sapa. Meals on you own.

 Day 8. Sapa – Yen Bai 240km.

Ride all the way down hill until we meet the Chinese border, make a stop to visit the border gate then ride to Luc Yen for lunch. In the afternoon, take a small paved road along the Thac Ba Lake until Vu Linh, where we have an overnight at home-stay with a local family.

 Day 9 : Vu Linh - Hanoi, 180 km, 6 hr ride.

After breakfast, we cruise Southeast on Highway 2 and then branch off to the sleepy town of Xuan Duong. We follow the edge of the Red River along the dyke, almost to the point where it merges with the Black River after which they flow together to Hanoi. By now we are very much in the lowlands of the delta plains and the North’s main agricultural areas. Harvest time here is a sea of activity. Crossing the Red River by Thang Long Bridge, return to Hanoi on the highway. Tour ends in Hanoi.
