I’m Nguyen Ngoc,motorcycle tour-guide in Vietnam, born in 1974. I speak English, French and I've been guiding for over ten years. Travellers called me by a funny name "Knock".
Turning back the time, I was born in a poor countryside which is 100km far from Hanoi to the South. I started my university life in Hanoi - Vietnam’s Capital when I’m nineteen years old. Five years studying here, I had learnt French, English and basic theories of tourism. In my mind, I always dreamt of becoming a guide and this dream had been alongside with me in five years of university. The time passed by. At the age of twenty three, I graduated and started the first days in my career. I felt lucky when I was chosen to work in a small tour company where I met the first foreign tourists in my life. They were from different countries, from USA, France, Australia, NewZealand, etc… Everyone had his own way of exploring my country. One chose bus tour while others were keen on bicycles and trekking. Each kind of tour had brought to the tourists with interesting experiences, but the tourists impressed me most was the one who chose “motor” as means of transport. They always had a style of freedom and trended to go those places where nobody ever went. In my mind, they were brave men who loved to share their "motor passion” with anyone they met. And I was absolutely captivated with this passion.
In October 1998, I officially became a motor guide for a tour-company and after that was all the days on the motor 125cc imported from Russia. I rode around 2,500km/per month and it equalled to 30,000km/per year. I had passed through all parts of my country with hundreds of tourists.
In March 2007, due to some reasons, I stopped working in this company and together with a friend to open a new company which named Lotussia Travel. We own 2 websites : www.lotussiatravel.com about organizing classic tours and www.vietnamontrails.com about customizing Motorcycle tours.
Our target is not interested much in the quantity but quality. We'll try to organize tours guided by ourself. To be honest, We are not the good webmasters but we are sure that you will be extremely happy once riding with us. When touring with Lotussia Travel you’re not just a customer but also a friend. We commit to use your dollars for investing back into the poor community through couples of projects in the countryside.
